"The Kuwait Stock Exchange closed its trading session with its general index down by 89.72 points..

The Kuwait Stock Exchange closed its trading session today, Thursday, with its general index declining by 89.72 points, a decrease of 1.12 percent, reaching a level of 7,907.97 points. A total of 407.5 million shares were traded through 22,316 cash transactions, with a value of 129.8 million Kuwaiti dinars (approximately 399.7 million US dollars).  


The Main Market Index dropped by 226.17 points, a decrease of 3.05 percent, reaching a level of 7,199 points. This was achieved through the trading of 312.4 million shares across 14,091 cash transactions, with a value of 92 million dinars (approximately 283.3 million US dollars).  


The Premier Market Index also fell by 59.66 points, a decrease of 0.70 percent, reaching a level of 8,475.87 points. This was achieved through the trading of 95 million shares across 8,225 transactions, with a value of 37.7 million dinars (approximately 116.11 million US dollars).  


In parallel, the Main 50 Index declined by 432.50 points, a decrease of 5.83 percent, reaching a level of 6,983.09 points. This was achieved through the trading of 289.8 million shares across 12,669 cash transactions, with a value of 89.4 million dinars (approximately 275.3 million US dollars).  


Among the companies, (Ekttitab), (Hotels), (Al-Deera), and (Abar) were the top gainers, while (M Business), (First Fuel), (Al-Sour), and (Unicap) were the top decliners.
