The Consul of Kuwait in Milan: The State of Kuwait places great emphasis on supporting its citizens, especially persons with disabilities..

The Consul General of the State of Kuwait in Milan and Northern Italy, Sheikh Jaber Al-Duaij Al-Malik Al-Sabah, affirmed today, Thursday, that the State of Kuwait places great emphasis on supporting its citizens in various fields, especially individuals with intellectual disabilities who have demonstrated unprecedented athletic achievements.  


During his reception of the Kuwaiti delegation from the Kuwait Special Olympics participating in the Winter World Games (Turin 2025) for individuals with intellectual disabilities, Sheikh Jaber Al-Sabah praised the delegation's determination and efforts to achieve advanced positions that carry the name of the country and add to Kuwait's sports achievements.  


The Kuwaiti Consul expressed his admiration for the participation of Kuwaiti champions in the Winter Games for the first time and "their ability to understand and master this type of sport, which is not commonly practiced in our country." He encouraged the delegation to continue their outstanding efforts in the global competition, which receives significant media attention during its duration.  


He added, "The developments we are witnessing in sports for individuals with intellectual disabilities and the remarkable achievements they are making at local, regional, and international levels are a reflection of the high directives to care for and rehabilitate this influential and cherished group."  


He emphasized the commitment of the Consulate General of the State of Kuwait in Milan and Northern Italy to provide all necessary support and facilitation for the Kuwaiti delegation participating in the World Games (Turin 2025).  


For his part, the head of the Kuwaiti delegation participating in (Turin 2025), Khaled Al-Nasser, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Kuwaiti Consul in Milan and the staff of the Kuwaiti Consulate for the level of support and care provided by the Kuwaiti diplomatic mission to the delegation since their arrival in Italy.  


Al-Nasser confirmed that this support has had a significant impact on boosting the morale of the players and members of the technical and administrative staff of the Kuwait Special Olympics, as the support has given them additional motivation and energy to give their best and achieve success, raising the name of Kuwait high in this global event.  


It is worth noting that the 12th Winter World Games began last Saturday and will continue until March 15, with the participation of approximately 1,500 athletes representing 100 countries in 8 diverse winter sports, including ice skating, snow running, futsal, and other sports in which the Kuwaiti delegation, consisting of three players—Hajar Al-Rashidi, Maryam Dhiyab, and Abdullah Al-Ali—is participating.
