The Sheikh Salman Al-Hamoud Heritage Shooting Championship concludes its competitions with the crowning of the winners..

The competitions of the Sheikh Salman Hamoud Al-Sabah Heritage Shooting Championship, organized by the Kuwait Shooting Club, concluded on Thursday after a one-day event with the crowning of the winners in its competitions.


The championship results saw shooter Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah claim first place, while Eid Al-Waalan secured second place. Shooter Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah also took third place, followed by Musaed Al-Najjar in fourth and Abdullah Al-Asimi in fifth.


In a statement to journalists following the conclusion of the championship, Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, President of the Asian Shooting Confederation and Honorary President of the Kuwait Shooting Club, noted that the event witnessed participation from members of the General Assembly. The championship was named after Sheikh Salman Hamoud Al-Sabah, who made significant contributions to the sport of shooting.


Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah added that the championship was held to honor Sheikh Salman's legacy and his continuous support for shooting sports, as well as his pivotal role in establishing the shooting club. He expressed his gratitude to the president and members of the Kuwait Shooting Club for organizing this Ramadan championship.


In a similar statement, the President of the Kuwait Shooting Club, Daij Al-Atibi, said that the championship's competitions, which featured traditional rifle shooting (Al-Kharaza), were organized with professional safety measures, specialized trainers, and fixed target shooting. He emphasized that the goal of the championship was to bring people together during this holy month.


Al-Atibi also mentioned that the club is currently preparing to organize the His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah International Grand Shooting Championship, which will see the participation of numerous shooters from around the world. The event is scheduled for next April, and he expressed the pride of the Kuwaiti shooting community in hosting such a prestigious tournament.


The award ceremony was attended by Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, Sheikh Hamoud Salman Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, and the President of the Kuwait Shooting Club, Daij Al-Atibi.
