The Bahrain Drag Racing Championship concluded its fifth and final round of the 2024-2025 season at the speed track of the Bahrain International Circuit (the home of motorsport in the Middle East), with the competitors from the Kuwait Automobile and Motorcycle Club achieving advanced results.
Sheikh Sabah Daoud Salman Al-Sabah, the director of the Kuwait Automobile and Motorcycle Club team, highlighted in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Saturday the outstanding performance of the club's racers throughout the championship rounds. He praised their achievement of advanced positions in the fifth and final round, which began last Tuesday and continued until Friday.
Abdulrahman Bouallou secured second place in the "Promod" category, while Suleiman Al-Sanousi came in second in the 9.0 Index category, and Ahmed Haidar took third place in the same category. Fawaz Al-Awadhi claimed third place in the 8.5 Index category, and Jassim Zaman won the season championship title in the 6 Cylinder Out category.
Sheikh Sabah expressed his happiness with the championship's attendance, which featured a selection of skilled racers who showcased their talents throughout the five rounds. He noted the quick reflexes, exceptional capabilities, and high skills demonstrated by the club's members. He also commended their continuous efforts, intensive training, and preparations for these competitions, as well as their determination to achieve top positions, increase their championship points, and raise the name and flag of Kuwait high in international forums. He wished them continued success and the achievement of more remarkable accomplishments.
The fifth and final round of the championship witnessed significant participation from cars and motorcycles from various Gulf countries, particularly Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. This followed the previous rounds, which saw unprecedented turnout in terms of participation and attendance, with over 200 cars and motorcycles taking part in the earlier rounds.
