The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, discussed today, Sunday, with the First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Denis Manturov, a number of issues of mutual interest.  

The Qatari Amiri Diwan stated in a press release that this took place during the Emir of Qatar's reception of the Russian official at his office in Lusail Palace in the Qatari capital, Doha.  

The Diwan mentioned that the meeting reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop them, in addition to discussing a number of issues of mutual interest.  

In a related context, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman, discussed with Manturov the latest developments in the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.  

The Qatari Foreign Ministry added in a statement that Sheikh Mohammed and the Russian official reviewed, during their meeting in Doha, cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them, particularly in the commercial, economic, and technical fields.  

It noted that they discussed the latest developments in the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, as well as a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
