The Kuwait Handball Super Cup for the 2024/2025 season kicks off tomorrow..

Tomorrow, Monday, the competitions of the **Kuwait Handball Super Cup** for the 2024/2025 season will kick off with a four-team format (semi-finals). **Al-Kuwait** will face **Al-Salmiya**, while **Al-Arabi** will play against **Kazma** at the **Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex Hall** in **Sabah Al-Salem**.

**Al-Salmiya** coach, **Yaqoub Al-Mousawi**, told the Kuwait News Agency (**KUNA**) today, Sunday, that the primary goal is to compete in a tournament with high-level teams to fully prepare for the Premier League. He added that if there is an opportunity to win the Kuwait Super Cup, **Al-Salmiya** players will strive to seize it and claim the title, hoping for a large audience turnout.

Al-Mousawi explained that the league's suspension for a considerable period and the delayed return of international professionals have significantly impacted his team's preparations. Despite this, the team is striving to compete for the Super Cup title, with preparations ongoing using the available players until the tournament begins.

From a technical perspective, national handball coach **Walid Salmeen** told **KUNA** that the Kuwait Super Cup is an important tournament for the participating teams, both in terms of morale and physical preparation, as well as the intensity of the matches for the players as the sports season progresses.

Salmeen added that competition is a legitimate right for all teams participating in the Super Cup. He noted that **Al-Kuwait** is the most likely to win the title due to its high-level and international players, as well as the team's mental and psychological readiness. However, he did not rule out surprises, as teams like **Kazma**, **Al-Salmiya**, and **Al-Arabi** are determined and resolute.

**Al-Kuwait** aims to defend its title, which it won in the previous season by defeating **Al-Qadsia** in the final. The team is also seeking its fourth title in the tournament, solidifying its dominance as the most successful team in the competition. Meanwhile, **Kazma** is striving for its second title, having won the 2022 edition by defeating **Al-Kuwait** in the final.
