The International Islamic Charitable Organization announced today, Wednesday, the implementation of the "Sustainability of Karimat's Passion" project, which aims to empower Syrian refugee women in Turkey to enter the labor market by providing specialized training programs and supporting small projects that contribute to improving their living conditions.
In a press statement, the organization stated that the project includes training beneficiaries in three areas: dairy product manufacturing, mobile phone maintenance, and resin crafting. It explained that, after completing the training programs, 67 developmental projects were launched, improving the income levels of 300 refugee families at a total cost of 106,028 US dollars.
The organization clarified that the project relied on a comprehensive and intensive training approach spanning several months, through which the women acquired technical and administrative skills, contributing to their economic sustainability. The assessments showed significant improvement in their level of knowledge and skills.
It added that the project included providing the beneficiaries with the necessary tools and equipment to launch their own projects, as well as offering courses in management and digital marketing to ensure the sustainability of the projects and the women's ability to develop their products and access markets.
The organization highlighted that the project enabled the beneficiaries to enhance their self-reliance by equipping them with professional skills that allow them to manage their own projects, achieve financial independence, and improve their economic and social status, as well as that of their families.
The organization affirmed that this project is part of its strategy to achieve economic empowerment for the most vulnerable groups and enhance their ability to be self-reliant. It added that empowering refugee women is a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable development within host communities.
