Egypt today, Saturday, praised the efforts made by the Arab League in defending Arab interests and coordinating among Arab countries to address regional and international challenges.

This came in a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Arab League, in which it affirmed that the Arab League represents the "Arab home and platform for joint Arab action since its establishment on March 22, 1945, in Cairo."

Egypt expressed its deep pride in its role in founding, supporting, and hosting the headquarters of the Arab League, which has been and remains a "fundamental framework" for enhancing cooperation among Arab countries in various political, economic, social, and cultural fields.

The statement emphasized that the Arab League has played a pivotal role in supporting the causes of the Arab nation and working to achieve the aspirations of Arab peoples, in addition to the important role it has undertaken in mobilizing Arab efforts to support independence and the liberation of Arab lands.

In this regard, Egypt affirmed that the Arab League continues to make diligent efforts in coordinating common positions and visions to address the challenges facing the Arab nation and striving earnestly to intensify economic and political integration among its member states.
