The Arab Parliament appreciates the efforts of the Arab League in defending the causes of the Arab nation..

The President of the Arab Parliament, Mohamed Al-Yamahi, praised the "diligent" efforts made by the Arab League to enhance Arab solidarity at all levels and to defend Arab causes, foremost among them the Palestinian issue.

In a press statement on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Arab League, which falls today, Al-Yamahi affirmed that the League "has been and will remain the home of the Arab nation and a symbol of its unity," congratulating Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit on this anniversary.

He commended the efforts of the Arab League to strengthen mechanisms for joint Arab action and to address the challenges facing the path of Arab integration in all fields.

He also praised the "dedicated" efforts of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in advancing joint Arab action, particularly the facilities it provides to facilitate the work of the Arab Parliament and host its general sessions.

In this regard, he emphasized the Arab Parliament's commitment to enhancing mechanisms for consultation, coordination, and cooperation with the Arab League at all levels, "in light of its dedication to achieving the desired integration between official diplomacy and parliamentary diplomacy in serving the interests of the Arab people and defending their causes."

He pointed to the serious challenges facing the Palestinian cause recently due to the genocidal war and massacres committed by the brutal Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, which necessitates a unified Arab stance to defend it.
