The Meteorological Department: Kuwait International Airport area recorded the highest rainfall yesterday, while Al-Wafra recorded the lowest..

The Meteorological Department, affiliated with the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, recorded varying amounts of rainfall across the country yesterday, Saturday. The highest amount was recorded at Kuwait International Airport, reaching 9.2 mm, while Al-Wafra recorded the lowest at 0.2 mm.  


The Acting Director of the Department, Dhari Al-Ali, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) today, Sunday, that the automatic weather monitoring stations of the Meteorological Department recorded varying intensities of rainfall in some areas affected by the weather yesterday.  


Al-Ali added that the rainfall amounts in the (Abdali) area reached 5.7 mm, followed by (Ras Al-Salmiya) at 4.6 mm, then (Al-Rabiya) at 4.1 mm, while (Jal Al-Liyah) recorded 1 mm, (Al-Sabahiya) 0.6 mm, and (Al-Jahra) 0.5 mm.  


Regarding the weather, he predicted warm conditions during the day and cool temperatures at night until the end of the week, after which temperatures will gradually rise, leading to warmer weather during the day.  


He also expected active northwesterly winds, with speeds sometimes reaching 50 kilometers per hour, causing dust in exposed areas and raising sea waves to more than six feet. Wind speeds are expected to gradually decrease starting from the evening of the day after tomorrow, Tuesday.
