Kuwait today, Sunday, laid to rest First Deputy Officer Salem Al-Ajmi, the 'Martyr of Duty', at Sulaibikhat Cemetery. He had passed away yesterday, Saturday, while performing his national duties responding to a fire incident.
According to a statement by the General Fire Force, the funeral was attended by Fire Force Commander Major General Talal Al-Roumi, several senior fire force leaders, and a large crowd of citizens and residents.
Major General Al-Roumi conveyed the condolences of Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah to the martyr's family, affirming that the officer had performed his duties with complete dedication.
Following the funeral, Al-Roumi stated: 'Today, Kuwait's soil has embraced a martyr from among its finest sons - those who sacrificed everything and struggled with their very souls for this pure land.' He prayed to Almighty God to bestow His infinite mercy upon the martyr, admit him to Paradise, and grant his family patience and solace
