Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shar'aa announced the formation of a new government, following approximately four months of interim caretaker administration.
In a speech during the inauguration ceremony broadcast by Syria's SANA news agency Saturday evening, Al-Shar'aa stated the new government's priority would be "combating corruption," emphasizing plans to rebuild state institutions based on accountability and transparency.
He noted Syria faces significant challenges requiring "national cohesion and unity," adding the government aims to attract Syrian human resources from "abroad to accelerate development." The administration will focus on industrial rehabilitation, protection of national products, and creating an investment-friendly environment across sectors.
