Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed with his Bahraini counterpart Abdullatif Al-Zayani the latest developments in Gaza and ongoing Egyptian-Qatari efforts to cement a ceasefire, return to the January 19 agreement, and ensure implementation of its three-phase plan.

In a Sunday statement, Egypt's Foreign Ministry noted the exchange occurred during a phone call where both ministers shared perspectives on regional security and stability issues.

Abdelatty praised the 'strong fraternal ties' between Egypt and Bahrain, describing them as a 'solid pillar' for enhancing bilateral cooperation across all fields.

He emphasized the importance of continued coordination to elevate the countries' strategic partnership, acknowledging Bahrain's pivotal role as current chair of the Arab League Council.
