The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced it may implement temporary power cuts in certain agricultural and industrial areas due to increased electricity demand and routine maintenance work. These measures are part of preparations to operate power generation units at full capacity during the summer season.
In an official statement released Wednesday, the Ministry explained these measures aim to maintain the stability of the national power grid, emphasizing that any power interruptions would be pre-scheduled and time-limited.
The agricultural areas potentially affected include Al-Rawdatain, Al-Wafra, and Al-Abdali, while industrial zones that may experience interruptions include Abdullah Port, Sabhan, Al-Rai, and Al-Shuwaikh Industrial Area.
The Ministry assured that any power interruptions would not exceed three hours, with technical teams monitoring electricity loads around the clock. Officials expressed gratitude to customers for their understanding and cooperation during this period.
