Nantes secured a 2-1 away victory over Nice on Friday at the Allianz Riviera in Matchday 28 of France's Ligue 1.
The visitors took an early lead in the 11th minute when Brazilian midfielder Douglas Augusto fired a powerful strike, assisted by Moses Simon, leaving Nice’s goalkeeper helpless. However, Nice responded quickly, leveling the score just three minutes later through Tunisian full-back Ali Abdi, who finished a well-placed pass from Algerian teammate Hicham Boudaoui inside the box.
Before halftime, Nantes regained control as French forward Matthis Abline found the net in the 38th minute, sealing their lead.
With this result, Nice remain fourth in the league standings with 47 points, while Nantes move up to 13th place with 30 points.
