The Gulf Educational Research Center holds its training program "Education During Crises and Emergencies" in Kuwait..

The Arab Gulf Educational Research Center launched a training program titled "Education During Crises and Emergencies" on Monday, which will run until April 16. The program is being held in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Shuraika, the center’s director, told KUNA (Kuwait News Agency) that the program aligns with the directives of the GCC Ministers of Education under the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States. It aims to enhance the preparedness of educational leaders in managing crises and emergencies. He expressed gratitude to Kuwait’s Minister of Education, Dr. Jalal Al-Tabatabai, for his unwavering support of the center’s initiatives.

Dr. Al-Shuraika stressed the importance of developing comprehensive strategies and plans to strengthen the technical and leadership capacities of educational staff in addressing crisis-related challenges. He added that the program seeks to enhance the skills of education professionals through strategic planning and emergency response, ensuring student and teacher safety while maintaining education in a secure environment.

The program includes 25 officials from Kuwait’s Ministry of Education, alongside experts from Queen Rania Teacher Academy and the Arab Gulf Educational Research Center.

This initiative is part of a series of training programs organized by the center across the Gulf, following similar programs in Oman, Bahrain, the UAE, Qatar, and Yemen. The goal is to strengthen the crisis-readiness of education ministries, improve strategic planning for education management during emergencies, and build institutional resilience.
