Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, Director-General of Kuwait’s General Civil Aviation Authority, and Morocco’s Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mr. Mohamed Abdeljalil, explored ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the air transport sector to serve the mutual interests of both countries and strengthen integration in civil aviation.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Sheikh Hamoud Al-Sabah said the discussions took place during a meeting with the Moroccan minister on Wednesday, held on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO), currently taking place in Rabat, Morocco.
He added that the meeting included discussions on common foundations for cooperation, developing training programs, and exchanging expertise to benefit both nations. The talks also emphasized enhancing integration in civil aviation and increasing direct flights between the two brotherly countries, given the high demand on this vital route.
Sheikh Hamoud noted that both sides stressed the importance of deepening their strategic partnership and expanding cooperation, particularly in human capacity development, training program exchanges, and aviation safety. These efforts fall within the framework of the strong fraternal ties between Kuwait and Morocco.
Kuwait participated in the ACAO Executive Council meeting with a delegation headed by Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, alongside delegations from other Arab member states.
The meeting addressed several topics related to air transport and aviation navigation and approved a number of decisions and recommendations concerning the organization’s regulatory, technical, and financial matters.
