Real Madrid officially announces the signing of defender Huysen until 2030..

Spanish football club Real Madrid announced on Saturday the signing of young Spanish defender Dani Huysen for the next five seasons, until June 2030.

In a statement on its official website, the club confirmed an agreement with English side AFC Bournemouth for the player's transfer, effective from June 1, 2024, until June 30, 2030.

According to local sports newspaper Marca, Real Madrid secured the player by paying his €59.3 million (approx. $66.2 million) release clause.

Huysen, 20, is a Spanish international who began his career at Málaga CF before moving to Italy, where he played for Juventus and AS Roma, and later joined Bournemouth in the English Premier League.

The defender, who becomes Real Madrid’s first signing for the new season, is a strong contender for the Premier League’s Young Player of the Year award in the 2024-2025 campaign.

Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid’s Italian head coach, will depart after the Spanish league concludes on May 25 to take charge of the Brazilian national team. Reports suggest that Xabi Alonso is the leading candidate to succeed him.
