Sheikh Mubarak Faisal Al-Nawaf Al-Sabah, Vice President of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, praised the outstanding achievements of Kuwait's national artistic gymnastics team (both male and female athletes) at the West Asia Championship for Youth, Junior and Girls categories, which recently concluded in Amman, Jordan.
In a press statement following the reception ceremony held Wednesday evening to honor the medal-winning athletes (who collected 32 medals - 17 gold, 6 silver and 9 bronze), Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah described this as a significant achievement and an honor for Kuwaiti gymnastics. He reaffirmed the Committee's support for national teams by facilitating their mission and overcoming challenges, while acknowledging the role of the Gymnastics Federation and the parents who supported their sons and daughters, enabling these remarkable achievements that raised Kuwait's flag at this continental sporting event.
For his part, Fahad Al-Sula, President of the Kuwait Gymnastics Federation, expressed appreciation for the Olympic Committee's support in a similar statement, noting that the Federation will work to develop the sport and prepare national teams capable of competing and achieving success in both artistic and rhythmic gymnastics disciplines.
From her side, Hessa Al-Sanai, Board Member and Chairwoman of the Women's Committee at the Federation, stated that the Kuwaiti athletes' excellence resulted from strenuous efforts and proper preparation, praising the technical and administrative staff supervising the Kuwaiti team participating in the championship.
