Iranian officials confirmed on Saturday that the Fordo uranium enrichment facility sustained limited damage during yesterday's Israeli attacks on multiple Iranian sites, while asserting that no radioactive contamination occurred as a result.
Damage Assessment:
Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesperson for Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, stated: "Limited damage occurred in some areas of the Fordo uranium enrichment site."
"A significant portion of equipment and materials had been relocated prior to the incident, preventing extensive damage. There is no concern regarding contamination."
IAEA Verification:
IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi confirmed via X (formerly Twitter) that both the Fordo enrichment facility and Isfahan uranium conversion plant remain operational following attacks.
Iranian authorities reported no radiation level increases at the Natanz enrichment facility, which was also targeted.
The Bushehr nuclear power plant was not struck during the attacks.
