The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the arrival of the first batch of Kuwaiti citizens returning from the Islamic Republic of Iran via Turkmenistan in the early hours of Saturday morning, as part of the evacuation plan implemented by the ministry to ensure the safety of citizens abroad and secure their return to their homeland.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry noted that Deputy Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah received the first group of citizens upon their arrival in the country. This step reflects the ongoing efforts undertaken by the ministry in compliance with the directives of the political leadership and its commitment to the safety of Kuwaiti citizens abroad.
The ministry emphasized that the evacuation plan is being carried out in coordination with the State of Kuwait’s embassies in both the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Turkmenistan, as well as in cooperation with the relevant authorities in the two friendly countries.
It expressed its deep appreciation for the facilitations provided by the concerned authorities in Iran and Turkmenistan to ensure the safety of Kuwaiti citizens and their secure return to the country.
The ministry stressed its continued round-the-clock efforts to guarantee the return of all Kuwaiti citizens currently in Iran, noting that coordination with partners and relevant agencies will persist to achieve this goal with the highest levels of efficiency and responsibility.
