The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) group at the United Nations has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation's attacks on Iran and its nuclear facilities, warning of the grave repercussions of these assaults on regional security and stability as clear violations of international law and the UN Charter.

The statement was delivered by Counselor Faisal Al-Enezi, Deputy Permanent Representative of Kuwait to the UN, on behalf of the GCC during an emergency session of the Security Council convened to address escalating tensions between Israel and Iran.

Key Points from the GCC Statement:

    • Stressed the need for compliance with IAEA safeguards and the protection of nuclear facilities from military strikes.

  4. Respect for Sovereignty & International Law

    • Demanded adherence to the UN Charter, principles of non-interference, and prohibition of force.

    • Warned against threats to maritime security, commercial shipping, and critical oil infrastructure in the Gulf.
