Battersea Power Station: An Iconic Destination on the Thames Riverside..

On the banks of the River Thames stands the historic Battersea Power Station - once providing 20% of London's electricity in the 1930s, particularly to Parliament and Buckingham Palace, now transformed into an entertainment and residential hub attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors.

The power station, closed in 1983, became a modest park until 2013 when redevelopment began to transform the surrounding areas into a new complex featuring apartments, shops, restaurants, cultural and historical spaces, along with public gardens.

River bus services launched in 2017, with residential units first becoming available in 2021. The station fully opened to the public on October 14, 2022, with remaining facilities gradually opening throughout 2023 - a year that saw visitor numbers exceed 11.2 million people.
