Pentagon Announces Resumption of US Weapons Shipments to Ukraine..

The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced Monday evening the resumption of American weapons deliveries to Ukraine, following an approximately week-long suspension. The pause had been implemented for what officials described as an "inventory review of U.S. weapons stockpiles."

In an official statement, the Pentagon confirmed: "Under President Donald Trump's direction, the Defense Department will send additional defensive weapons to Ukraine to ensure Ukrainians can defend themselves while we work toward achieving lasting peace and ending the bloodshed."

The statement emphasized that "our framework enabling the U.S. President to assess global military shipments remains in effect – an integral part of our 'America First' defense priorities."

Pentagon spokesperson Sean Barnell told reporters: "The Defense Department continues to provide the President with effective options regarding military assistance to Ukraine, aligned with his goal of ending this tragic war."

"Simultaneously," Barnell added, "the Department is conducting thorough reviews and adjusting its approach to balance this objective with maintaining U.S. military readiness and defense priorities that support the President's 'America First' agenda."

The Pentagon had initially suspended shipments last Wednesday, citing an internal review of available weapons inventories while assuring that "the U.S. military remains prepared to fulfill all its operational commitments."
