Egypt: Trucks carrying humanitarian and relief aid move from the (Rafah) crossing towards the Gaza Strip..

Egyptian media reported on Sunday that trucks carrying tons of humanitarian and relief supplies began moving from the Egyptian side of the Rafah land crossing towards the Gaza Strip.

Cairo News Channel reported that the aid dispatched on Sunday morning includes large quantities of food supplies, flour, as well as essential materials for infrastructure rehabilitation, as part of Egypt's ongoing efforts to alleviate the worsening humanitarian crisis in the enclave.

On Saturday, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Dr. Badr Abdelatty affirmed in a statement to Egyptian TV that his country continues its relentless efforts to halt the aggression on Gaza and expedite the delivery of humanitarian aid amid deteriorating conditions that have reached catastrophic levels.

Abdelatty stressed that the Rafah land crossing remains open 24/7 on the Egyptian side, while Israeli occupation authorities are the ones closing it from the Palestinian side. He categorically denied the validity of rumors promoted by some "incitement groups" claiming Egypt had closed the crossing.
