"The General Directorate of Civil Aviation (GDCA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today, Sunday, with the Kuwait Institute for Judicial and Legal Studies to enhance cooperation frameworks in the qualification and training of national legal cadres, as well as the exchange of expertise, training programs, and methods.
The MoU was signed by Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, Director General of the GDCA, and Hani Al-Hamdan, Director of the Kuwait Institute for Judicial and Legal Studies.
On this occasion, Sheikh Hamoud Al-Sabah stated that the signing of the MoU is a step toward preparing and qualifying employees working in the Directorate, whose roles and responsibilities require legal awareness and knowledge. He emphasized the importance of equipping them with the necessary legal expertise to carry out their regulatory duties over entities in the field of civil aviation.
He affirmed that the MoU aims to meet international requirements set by global organizations such as the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to achieve the highest levels of aviation safety and civil aviation security.
He explained that there will be fruitful cooperation with the Institute through this MoU to support air transport market inspectors legally, ensuring the achievement of the desired goals of monitoring air transport market activities and their compliance with laws, regulations, guidelines, and circulars issued by the Civil Aviation Directorate to safeguard the rights of passengers and investors in this field."
