The Saudi capital Riyadh will receive an official Syrian delegation on Monday, headed by Minister of Economy and Industry Mohammed Al-Shaar, accompanied by private sector representatives from both countries. This visit underscores the two brotherly nations' commitment to building economic cooperation bridges and enhancing regional integration.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) stated in a Sunday evening announcement that this visit follows the directives of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to deepen and develop the partnership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Syrian Arab Republic.
The agency noted that the visit builds on outcomes from last month's Saudi-Syrian Investment Forum, which was held under the patronage of Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shar and attended by over 100 Saudi companies and 20 Saudi government entities.
The forum witnessed the signing of 47 investment projects totaling more than 24 billion Saudi Riyals (approximately $6.4 billion USD) across key sectors including real estate, infrastructure, finance, telecommunications, information technology, energy, industry, tourism, trade, healthcare, and others.
SPA emphasized that this visit reflects the Kingdom's commitment to strengthening economic partnerships with regional allies, reinforcing its global investment role, and supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals and Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
