On Friday, Al-Nassr defeated its host Al-Taawoun by five goals to nil in the match held at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Buraidah, as part of the first round of the Saudi Roshn Professional Football League.

Al-Nassr opened its scoring in the 7th minute with a goal from Portuguese player João Félix. Global star Cristiano Ronaldo then added the second goal for Al-Nassr from a penalty kick in the 54th minute. A minute later, French player Kingsley Coman managed to score the third goal for Al-Nassr, before Félix returned to score his second goal and the fourth for his team in the 67th minute. The same player concluded by scoring his hat-trick and the fifth goal for Al-Nassr in the 87th minute.

In other matches of the same round, Al-Hilal defeated its counterpart Al-Riyadh by two goals to nil, while Al-Khaleej triumphed over its host Al-Shabab with a score of 4-1 in a match held at Al-Shabab Club Stadium.
