Campaign against Nintendo Switch 2 Triggers Rising Game Prices and Game-Key Cards System..

The gaming world is witnessing an escalating controversy with the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, as activists from the Gaming Consumer Rights organization announced a strong campaign against the new platform, objecting to the high prices of games and the adoption of the Game-Key Cards system.

The organization explained on its website that Nintendo is charging exorbitant prices on its games, as it has released Mario Kart World at an unprecedented price of $80, and has also re-released the Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 set at a full price of $70, which players considered an unnecessary repromotion.

Regarding the Game-Key Cards system, the organization called it mismarketing, as users imagine that they are buying an actual copy of the game, while these cards require an internet connection to download them, which could jeopardize their access in the future.
