Apple has officially launched the iOS 26.1 update, the first major update to iOS 26 that was released last September, and is now available to all users. The update introduces a host of new features and improvements that address some of the previous criticisms, especially related to the new Liquid Glass design and lock screen.

Customize the look of the new designApple has added a new option in the settings that allows users to control the level of transparency of the Liquid Glass interface, by switching between two modes, namely the Clear option and the Tinted opaque option. The difference is clearly visible in apps and notifications, especially on the Lock Screen.
