Google has begun to improve two core experiences within Workspace apps, starting with the addition of colored dots to highlight unread messages in Gmail.

In addition to formatting the sender's name, address, and time of sending, the app has added a small colored circle that appears next to the date and time to indicate that the message has not yet been opened.

This circuit is based on the Dynamic Color system, which makes it look in harmony with the phone's interface. The feature is rolling out via a server-side update, so it may take some time before it reaches everyone, especially since Gmail updates are usually released gradually.
