Goodbye to content theft. Meta Launches New Video Protection System..

In a new initiative aimed at supporting creators and protecting their businesses, Meta has launched a new tool called Content Protection to help them track stolen clips that are automatically reposted on Facebook and Instagram.

The launch comes in response to repeated complaints from content creators, who have confirmed over the past years that their videos are being reposted without permission.

According to details announced by the company, the new tool allows you to identify any original short reels that are partially or fully copied via Facebook or Instagram. Creators registered with the service will be able to view the accounts that have reposted their work, and take a range of appropriate actions against the clip.

These include the tracking option, which adds a tag that shows that the clip is transferred from the original creator's account with a direct link to it, as well as the ability to monitor the number of views. They can also block the clip entirely to prevent others from watching it, without imposing additional penalties on the account that reposted it.
