Samsung is preparing for a major leap in the screen of the Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra..

Samsung is preparing for one of the biggest display upgrades to its Galaxy S phones in years, according to a report by South Korean outlet ETNews.

The company is expected to equip the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra with Samsung Display's new M16 OLED displays, representing the company's latest OLED display manufacturing material.

If this information is accurate, this would mark the first major upgrade to OLED materials in the Galaxy S series in nearly three years. The M16 displays are expected to improve brightness, color accuracy, and power efficiency, as well as extend screen lifespan.

Samsung may also incorporate COE (Color Overlay) technology, which eliminates the traditional polarization layer in OLED displays by printing the color filter directly onto the thin film. Reports also suggest the possibility of Privacy Display support, which limits the view of screen content from the side corners.
