The Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Bahrain celebrated today, Tuesday, the 64th anniversary of National Day and the 34th anniversary of Liberation Day, in the presence of Bahrain's Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah, a number of senior officials and dignitaries, and heads of diplomatic missions in the Kingdom.
On this occasion, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Bahrain, Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, extended his highest congratulations to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect and bless him, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, may God protect him, His Excellency Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, and the honorable people of Kuwait.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Sheikh Thamer Jaber stated, "Our national celebrations are a renewal of loyalty and dedication to Kuwait and its leadership, working with all energies to continue the march of progress in all fields to build the nation of the future, sparing no effort to serve its security and stability." He added, "Our eternal celebration is the homeland... Kuwait, a symbol of peace, humanity, and generosity, is the pearl of the Gulf and a home of authenticity. On this occasion, we remember the sacrifices of our fathers, grandfathers, and our righteous martyrs who made Kuwait a state of institutions and law, an oasis of security and safety."
He continued, "Undoubtedly, Kuwait is a source of our pride and honor. We are its hope and dream... We grow with its generosity and rejoice in its achievements. Our unity is the foundation of its stability and future, bringing us together as one family under the leadership of His Highness the Amir, may God protect and bless him, and thanks to his wise policies. We are determined to enhance achievements in all fields to fulfill the aspirations of our leadership and people, raising the flag of Kuwait high among advanced nations."
He added that the people of Kuwait are aware, educated, and capable of overcoming obstacles and learning from experiences, emerging stronger and better in every stage of giving and building. He emphasized that the youth are the determination and steadfastness of the future, characterized by optimism, initiative, and capability. The next phase is titled "We Aspire and Achieve" to increase our national achievements in all fields, always repeating our eternal words, "We are all for Kuwait, and Kuwait is for us."
Ambassador Sheikh Thamer also expressed his gratitude to Kuwaiti students studying in Bahrain, numbering over 1,100, for their outstanding academic performance, responsibility, and commitment, representing their country with excellence. He praised the role of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and the Kuwaiti private sector in enhancing developmental partnerships in Bahrain, managing investments exceeding $60 billion, characterized by sustainability, professionalism, and competence.
The Kuwaiti Ambassador commended the steadfast and principled stance of the Kingdom of Bahrain, its leadership, and people, in supporting Kuwait's rights during the Iraqi invasion, reflecting the deep historical fraternal relations and renewed strategic partnership in cooperation and development between the two countries, which grow stronger every day on all levels. He stated, "Kuwait and Bahrain are one heart under the noble directives of His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his brother, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, may God protect and bless them," praying to God to preserve Kuwait's blessings of security, safety, progress, and prosperity under our wise leadership.
The Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, Prince Salman bin Hamad, delegated Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah to attend the reception hosted by the Kuwaiti Embassy in Manama. Ambassador Sheikh Thamer Jaber presented a commemorative plaque to the Deputy Prime Minister, emphasizing the deep historical relations between the two brotherly countries.
The ceremony included honoring former Bahraini ambassadors to Kuwait, including the son of the late Ambassador Saif Al-Muslim (1975-1984), Ambassador Abdulaziz Bu Ali (1984-1988), the son of the late Ambassador Issa Al-Jamea (1988-1992), Ambassador Abdulrahman Al-Fadhel (1992-2001), Ambassador Khalid Al-Muslim (2001-2007), and Ambassador Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa (2007-2018), in recognition of their roles in strengthening Kuwaiti-Bahraini relations.
Additionally, Bahraini employees of the embassy who have served for over 28 years were honored in appreciation of their dedicated and efficient efforts in achieving the embassy's goals.
