Makeup artist Ilham Al-Shalbi did not follow any specific beauty school, but instead refined her expertise through self-development after attending several makeup courses in France, Italy, Lebanon, and Jordan. She entered the world of cosmetics in 1994, beginning her professional career at some of the most prominent beauty centers in luxury hotels in Kuwait. Eventually, she established her own beauty center, the Ilham Al-Shalbi Center, in the Ardiya area. She also focused on skin health and radiance by opening a spa and wellness center dedicated to women's overall health, hair, and skincare. Additionally, her center includes a specialized section for slimming massages and improving blood circulation.

On another note, Ilham mentioned her love for Gulf and Lebanese makeup styles. She pointed out that Kuwaiti makeup has a unique charm and a strong presence in recent years, emphasizing that Kuwaiti women have a passionate taste for beauty, fashion, elegance, and style, and they deeply care about their skin and radiance.

Regarding the latest makeup trends for 2025, she confirmed that dark colors on the upper eyelids, applied softly and gradually, are currently very popular, creating an attractive smoky effect. These shades suit all skin tones. Additionally, berry tones, shiny colorful makeup, and pink and peachy hues are trending.
