The Kuwait Rheumatology Association announced on Saturday that it will organize its Third Annual Rheumatology Conference under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, Minister of Health, on the 18th of this month. The conference will discuss and showcase the latest advancements in rheumatologic and autoimmune diseases, featuring international and regional participation, with the aim of supporting the country's healthcare system.
Dr. Hiba Al-Hajeri, Consultant of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at the Ministry of Health and President of the Association, stated in a press release that the conference serves as a key scientific platform for exchanging expertise in a rich and diverse environment. The event will host six international participants, two regional experts, and 25 local contributors.
Dr. Al-Hajeri highlighted that the conference program is distinguished by its diversity and inclusivity, featuring specialized interactive sessions titled "Meet the Experts." These sessions will cover lupus, vasculitis, and ankylosing spondylitis through engaging panel discussions, providing attendees with direct access to global specialists.
She added that the association ensured the conference encompasses all related medical disciplines, including advanced workshops for internal medicine and primary care physicians, as well as focused lectures for pediatric rheumatologists.
Dr. Al-Hajeri emphasized that the association remains dedicated to fostering scientific collaboration and supporting physicians in staying updated with the latest research and clinical developments. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of patient care in Kuwait and the wider region.
