The Minister of Public Works: Continuing the comprehensive maintenance works for the roads in Abdullah Al-Mubarak area under the new contracts..

The Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, announced the continuation of comprehensive road maintenance works in the (Abdullah Al-Mubarak) area as part of the new maintenance contracts for highways and internal roads. These contracts include 18 major tenders for road maintenance across various regions of the country in all six governorates.  


In a press statement on Tuesday, Al-Mashaan stated that road maintenance works will begin in the most affected areas, followed by the less affected ones, with strict supervision, monitoring, and follow-up on the maintenance activities. She noted that work teams from the Ministry will oversee the implementation of the maintenance works, as a committee has been formed to select supervising engineers and conduct tests to ensure their competence.  


She emphasized the continuation of road maintenance projects in all areas while adhering to quality assurance and achieving international standards. She explained that investing in infrastructure enhances economic growth, improves quality of life, and supports sustainable development.  


For his part, Engineer Mohammed Al-Mousawi from the Supervision Department of (Farwaniya Governorate Project - Scope 2) stated in a similar statement that the Ministry's teams are present between sections 2 and 4 in the Abdullah Al-Mubarak area to monitor the latest developments in the new contracts for comprehensive road maintenance. He explained that the works involve laying a 5-centimeter-thick asphalt layer.  


Al-Mousawi urged citizens and residents to follow the General Traffic Department for updates on upcoming road closures to avoid traffic congestion.
