Saudi Arabia's Al-Ahli qualified today, Tuesday, for the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League Elite in football after defeating Qatari guest Al-Rayyan with two clean goals in the second leg of the Round of 16 of the tournament.
The goals of the match, which was held at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, were scored by Algerian star Riyad Mahrez in the 77th and 83rd minutes.
The first leg between the two teams last Tuesday in Doha ended with Al-Ahli winning 3-1.
It is worth noting that the final stages of the tournament, starting from the quarter-finals, will be held in a centralized format in the Saudi city of Jeddah.
