The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation showcased the role of technology and artificial intelligence in fostering innovation at the CERAWeek conference in Houston..

The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and its subsidiaries continued their active participation in CERAWeek, which commenced last Monday in Houston, Texas, USA. The conference saw the attendance of thousands of leaders and experts in the oil and energy sector to discuss challenges and opportunities amidst global economic transformations.  


In a press statement issued today, Thursday, KPC announced that Shaima Al-Ghunaim, Vice President of Planning and Finance at Kuwait Petroleum International, participated in a panel discussion addressing the role of technology and innovation in empowering women in the energy sector. She emphasized the importance of developing a supportive work environment that enhances women's participation across various aspects of the industry.  


Additionally, Abdullah Al-Affasi, Deputy Managing Director for Planning at KPC, took part in a specialized session that explored the growing role of artificial intelligence in driving excellence and innovation in the oil sector. He highlighted KPC's efforts in adopting the latest digital technologies to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.  


KPC stated that its participation in the conference, which concludes tomorrow, Friday, reflects its ongoing commitment to exchanging expertise and insights with major global energy companies and strengthening relationships with key partners. This contributes to achieving its strategic goals and supporting the future of sustainable energy.  


It is worth noting that Deputy Chairman and CEO of KPC, Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, is leading a high-level delegation from KPC and its subsidiaries to participate in CERAWeek.
