Minister Al-Huwaila affirms the depth of relations between Kuwait and China and hopes to enhance cooperation in the field of social care..

The Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila, affirmed today, Wednesday, the depth of the relations between Kuwait and China, which span more than 55 years. She expressed her hope to enhance the existing cooperation between the two countries in the fields of social care and family development.  


This came during Al-Huwaila's meeting with the Minister and Vice Chairperson of the National Working Committee on Children and Women under the State Council of China, Mme. Huang Xiaowei, on the sidelines of the 69th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. The two sides discussed ways to support and empower women in society and enhance social services provided to families.  


During the meeting, Al-Huwaila reviewed the policies adopted by Kuwait to support women in the areas of social care and services aimed at strengthening family stability and providing support to mothers and children. She highlighted Kuwait's experience in offering such services, which aim to achieve social justice and promote community cohesion.  


Both sides expressed their mutual desire to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of social care, exchange expertise in providing support to families, and empower women. They also discussed developing joint mechanisms in areas of social protection, rehabilitation, vocational training, and support for eligible groups in need of care.
