The Public Authority for Civil Information announced today, Thursday, the mechanism for issuing civil ID cards to individuals whose citizenships have been withdrawn under Article 8 of the Kuwaiti Nationality Law.
In a statement on its official account on the platform (X), the Authority stated that notifications regarding the payment of fees for the new civil ID card will be sent through the (My Identity) application and the unified government application for electronic services (Sahel).
It clarified that the payment of fees for issuing the card can be made via the (Sahel) application or the Authority’s official website (paci.gov.kw), noting that notifications about the card’s readiness will be sent through both the (My Identity) and (Sahel) applications.
The Authority urged individuals to ensure the delivery of the old civil ID card by depositing it in the designated collection devices in order to receive the new card.
It explained that if the old civil ID card has been submitted to the General Administration for Citizenship and Travel Documents, individuals should retrieve it from the same authority and bring it to the Civil Information Authority to receive the new card after confirming its readiness.
The Authority also noted that the status of the card’s readiness can be tracked through its official website without the need for in-person visits.
