Abdullatif Al-Mishari, Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, emphasized the necessity of unifying efforts to implement all services related to housing projects. This aims to ensure their completion according to the highest sustainability standards and accelerate their execution in compliance with royal directives.

In a press statement on Tuesday following the first meeting of the Governmental Coordination Committee for Housing Project Services, Minister Al-Mishari highlighted the need to support the state’s fiscal sustainability and fulfill families' aspirations to live in fully serviced cities with the highest quality-of-life standards.

He noted that the Council of Ministers is directly monitoring the performance of agencies involved in housing projects and supporting them to ensure they fulfill their assigned obligations.

The minister stressed the importance of government entities implementing housing projects having clear timelines and performance indicators to guarantee on-schedule and efficient execution. He emphasized that an agency’s efficiency is measured by its ability to adhere to approved plans and schedules.

Public Works Minister Highlights Cross-Governmental Coordination

In a similar statement, Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Minister of Public Works and Chair of the Cabinet’s Public Services Committee, underscored the importance of intergovernmental coordination among relevant entities to remove obstacles hindering current and future housing projects.

Al-Mashaan noted that ministers conduct monthly follow-ups on project progress and collaborate with the Governmental Coordination Committee to submit quarterly reports to the Council of Ministers.

She praised the Ministry of Finance’s efforts in securing financial allocations for infrastructure and service projects, which helps expedite work and overcome procedural hurdles in tenders for future housing cities.

Additionally, she commended regulatory bodies for accelerating document processing related to government tenders for infrastructure service projects.
