The Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, announced the commencement of comprehensive maintenance work in the Jaber Al-Ali area of Ahmadi Governorate as part of new contracts. She emphasized the ministry's commitment to implementing road maintenance projects across all regions while strictly adhering to quality assurance and international standards to develop advanced infrastructure.
In a press statement on Friday regarding the start of maintenance work in the area, Dr. Al-Mashaan stated that the concerned teams had already conducted an inspection before carrying out the necessary repairs. Maintenance work will begin in the most severely affected areas, followed by less critical sections, with close supervision and follow-up by ministry teams.
She stressed the importance of coordination to resolve pending issues related to road maintenance and urged the executing companies to complete all work efficiently and to the required quality standards, in accordance with approved technical specifications, while adhering to the agreed-upon schedule.
The minister also advised road users to follow updates from the General Traffic Department to stay informed about road closures and avoid traffic congestion. She called on residents to be patient and cooperate with the concerned authorities to ensure the timely completion of maintenance work, clarifying that the work involves laying a new asphalt layer.
