Kuwait Olympic Committee Announces Participation in 3rd GCC Beach Games (Muscat 2025)
The Kuwait Olympic Committee has announced its participation in the 3rd GCC Beach Games (Muscat 2025), set to kick off in the Sultanate of Oman this Saturday.
A delegation of 65 male and female athletes will represent Kuwait, competing in six out of the eight scheduled sports at the event, which runs until April 11.
Mohammed Al-Khalfan, head of Kuwait’s delegation and director of the committee, stated in a press briefing on Thursday that Kuwait will compete in:
Beach Soccer
Beach Volleyball
Sailing
Air Sports (Gliding)
Athletics
Equestrian Tent Pegging
The Games will also feature Beach Handball and Open Water Swimming, though Kuwait will not participate in these two disciplines.
Al-Khalfan emphasized that Kuwait’s participation reflects the committee’s commitment to enhancing sports collaboration among GCC nations, fostering unity and athletic integration among Gulf youth. He noted that the event brings together elite Gulf athletes, providing a valuable platform for competition and camaraderie.
He highlighted the significance of this event for Kuwaiti competitors, who are determined to achieve top results and secure podium finishes, proudly raising Kuwait’s flag. Al-Khalfan also expressed gratitude for the continuous support from the State of Kuwait toward the nation’s sports movement.
Al-Khalfan commended the Omani Olympic Committee for its outstanding preparations in hosting the third edition of the Games. He anticipated highly competitive and thrilling matches, showcasing the strength and talent of Gulf athletes.
