A student delegation representing the State of Kuwait, supported by the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity, is participating in the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) 2025, which commenced in Dubai on Saturday and will continue until July 14.
In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Center highlighted that Kuwait’s participation aligns with its ongoing efforts to support gifted students and enhance their scientific capabilities. It emphasized that this achievement stems from close collaboration between the Center, the Ministry of Education, and Kuwait University.
The Center, which operates under the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), explained that this participation is part of its strategic plan to prepare and qualify students through intensive theoretical and practical training programs spanning a full year. These programs are supervised by a select group of international experts and trainers in the field.
The Center added that its goal is to empower students to deliver an outstanding performance, reflecting the competence of Kuwaiti talents while contributing to elevating the nation’s reputation in regional and international scientific forums. This aligns with KFAS’s vision of supporting scientific research, innovation, and nurturing young talents.
The Center extended its best wishes for success to the participating Kuwaiti students: Ali Behbehani, Ali Yousef, Manal Al-Kandari, and Ghazayel Al-Mutairi, hoping they achieve honorable results worthy of Kuwait’s name and raise its flag high in scientific and creative arenas worldwide.
Reaffirming its commitment, the Center stressed its continued efforts to invest in promising national talents, refine their skills, and provide a supportive environment for scientific excellence and innovation. This underscores its pioneering role in empowering national competencies and preparing a generation capable of representing Kuwait with distinction in global scientific fields.
