Samsung today announced a strategic partnership with OpenAI aimed at accelerating advancements in the global AI infrastructure. According to the agreement, Samsung Electronics will act as a strategic memory provider for OpenAI by providing it with advanced semiconductor solutions.

Samsung expects OpenAI's demand for memory to reach around 900,000 DRAM chips per month, and it confirms that it will meet this demand with a wide range of high-performance, energy-efficient memory solutions.

The company also adds its advanced chip packaging capabilities and heterogeneous integration of memory and semiconductors, giving OpenAI unique solutions tailored to its needs.
