OPPO unveiled a comprehensive plan to take the life of its phones to a new standard in the industry at an event held at its global headquarters and research center at its Binhai Bay campus.

The initiative, called Apex Guard, includes hardware upgrades, software improvements, and enhanced after-sales services to ensure quality and reliability that will last for years.

At the hardware level, OPPO has developed new materials such as Ultra-High-Strength Steel and AM04 Space Aluminum Alloy. It also provided structural solutions such as Armour Shield. These innovations aim to increase OPPO's ability to withstand the challenges of everyday use, such as drops, scratches, extreme temperatures, button pressure, and a USB port.

The company's silicon-carbon batteries use a custom spherical carbon-silicon material, which adds around 400 additional charge cycles to the battery's actual life, and helps it retain its capacity for longer.
