In Apple's series of launches this week, which included the MacBook Air with the M4 chip and the iPad Air with the M3 chip, and after leaks confirmed its launch this week, the American company announced an updated Mac Studio with M4 and M3 Ultra chips, here are the most important details.

This update for Mac Studio is the first since May 2023, and this period (approximately two years) is a good period in the life cycle of Apple products, the new M chipset is very strong, and the differences between generations are not huge until we see an update every year, but we wait almost two years to get a worthy update.

The new Mac studio comes with an M4 Max chip that offers 14-16 CPU cores compared to 12 cores in the M2 Ultra chip. It also offers 32-40 GPU cores compared to a maximum of 38 cores with M2 Ultra.

The M4 Max version comes with 16 cores for the Neural Engine unit specialized in artificial intelligence tasks, in addition to RAM starting from 36 GB to 128 instead of 32 in the previous version.

The previous version of the Mac Studio was with the M2 Max and M2 Ultra chips, and it makes sense for this year to see the M4 Max and M4 Ultra chips, but Apple made an unexpected move and made the most powerful and expensive version with the M3 Ultra chip.
