Kuwait Airways signed a cooperation protocol with Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) on Thursday to strengthen bilateral and strategic relations between the two entities.
In a press statement, Kuwait Airways Chairman Abdulmohsen Al-Faqaan emphasized that this protocol reflects the airline's commitment to enhancing cooperation with various public and private sector entities. Al-Faqaan added that the agreement builds on the longstanding strategic partnership between the two companies and aligns with Kuwait Airways' plan to establish multiple strategic partnerships with national organizations.
The signing ceremony was attended by Kuwait Airways CEO Ahmad Al-Khorafi and KNPC CEO Wadha Al-Khateeb alongside Chairman Al-Faqaan.

Established in 1953 as a private company under the name "Kuwait National Airways Limited," Kuwait Airways launched its first flight on March 16, 1954. The Kuwaiti government acquired 100% ownership of the airline in 1962.
