The Russian President: We are witnessing a more just world order, and Moscow calls for international solidarity to ensure peace..

Putin's remarks came during his speech at a reception honoring the leaders and foreign delegations participating in Moscow's celebrations of the 80th anniversary of Victory over Nazism. He praised what he called "the Soviet Union's historic role in defeating fascism," asserting that "this truth cannot be distorted or erased."

He added that May 9th remains a sacred date for the multi-ethnic Russian people, noting that the achievements of their forefathers during the Great Patriotic War will forever remain immortalized in the nation’s collective memory.

Putin also expressed gratitude to the international leaders and delegations who took part in the celebrations, stating that their presence reflects global recognition of the Soviet sacrifices during World War II.

In the same context, the Russian president underscored the importance of international solidarity in confronting modern challenges, saying: "Russia advocates for building an indivisible security system based on principles of justice and equality."

He reiterated his country’s commitment to friendship, good neighborliness, and mutual respect, as well as its pursuit of balanced interests to achieve lasting peace and shared prosperity.

Putin also recalled the Allies' joint efforts during World War II, stressing that victory was achieved through the united struggle of peoples across Europe, America, Africa, and Asia—and that Russia would never forget its partners in that historic battle.

His statements come as Russia marks the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, a pivotal national event that "symbolizes the Soviet triumph over Nazi forces" and remains a cornerstone of Russian political discourse. The occasion reinforces national identity and Moscow’s global role amid the current geopolitical shifts.
